We often hear the saying that if one sings Mozart well, they can sing anything well. Of course, this is an oversimplification, different roles require different vocal parametres and vocal techniques, but there is also truth in it – be it Wagner or Verdi, or Puccini as in today’s episode: in every role, in every aria, you can take advantage of the “singing in the line” that you learned with Mozart pieces, with its soft and even sound. I managed to bring out beautiful phrases from Katinka with such Mozart-like solutions and I would like to present the results with this video.
